Mitchell BLET Program Receives SUV Donation from Davidson Police Department

Mitchell Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program is thrilled to announce the recent donation of a Ford Police Interceptor SUV from the Davidson Police Department. Attending on behalf of the Davidson Police Department were Chief Kim Davidson, Captain Jay Stokes, and Lieutenant Greg Frostbutter proudly presented the keys to Vice President for Continuing Education and Workforce Development, David Bullins, who accepted on behalf of the college. Also in attendance, Director of Public Safety, Tony Sharpe, BLET Director, Mark Faulkenberry, and staff members Gretchen Mayhorn, Rick Eades, and Shawn Elliott. The event was further enlivened by the presence of current BLET students, who gathered to show their appreciation and support.

This generous donation will significantly enhance the training capabilities of Mitchell Community College’s BLET program, providing students with invaluable hands-on experience to prepare them for successful careers in law enforcement. The college extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Town of Davidson and the Davidson Police Department for their generosity and commitment to fostering the next generation of law enforcement professionals.
