Town of Mooresville

A large town located in the southwestern section of Iredell County and a part of the fast-growing Charlotte metropolitan area, Mooresville is currently home to 55,000+ residents, making it the largest municipality in Iredell County. It is located approximately 25 miles (40 km) north of Charlotte. Best known as the home of many NASCAR and IndyCar racing teams as well as racing technology suppliers, Mooresville has earned the nickname “Race City USA.” The corporate headquarters of Lowe’s Corporation and Universal Technical Institute’s NASCAR Technical Institute are also located in Mooresville.
